PolyVector and I own had a 1979 Super Beetle Convertible.

It was sold today for $3,000! Not to bad considering we originally purchased it for $2,800. I will miss that little car. It had a few problems that made it unpractical for Flagstaff weather and our traveling between states. But while it was in commission that little bug was very fun to ride around in. We would take the pups to the beach and once we did take it from San Diego to Flagstaff. I hope its new owner has more time and money to put into this little guy, cause it definitely has potential to be a killer Beetle. So long Beetle!
Well, we thought awhile ago when our Gears of War disc was all of a sudden unreadable it was just a fluke, well lately during our Dead Rising marathon we have discovered that disc would also become unreadable pretty frequently. Our Xbox 360 sits horizontally on top of our DVD player and upon taking out the unreadable Dead Rising disc we started to notice that there was little scuffs appearing. I whip out our handy-dandy iKlear Apple polish (for cleaning LCD screens and the like without alcohol or ammonia) and began using it on the discs with a microfiber cloth. The scuffs do go away but of course during the next bout of disc read error they re-appear. So we are now trying our Xbox 360 standing vertically to see if this makes any difference. We have read plenty of stories about not moving the XBox 360 while on cause it will scratch the discs but the Xbox 360 in our case has never been moved since setting it up. Lots of other articles claim either way the Xbox 360 sits it not good…so we are going to try our own little experiments to see what works for us. All I know is when I am paying 500 bucks for a system and 60 bucks per disc, the system better not damage them beyond repair.
So if your Xbox 360 is scuffing up your discs, try using some LCD cleaner if you don’t happen to have a CD cleaner on hand (we don’t). I’ll post a follow up on this as soon as we have some results from the Xbox 360 position shift.
