Today started off pretty good, read some more trying to be confirmed lists of Guitar Hero 3 songs that were still being based off the same list on some random forum that was removed because it was false. GoNintendo, you amaze me at your lack of journalistic fact finding efforts. But after that our project decided to over heat and our Xbox 360 took another game form us. After placing Just Cause in for the first time since our return from San Diego it scratched it up. This was the last straw. Halo 3 is going to be arriving at our door step so tonight we decided to take apart the Xbox. We took a few pictures so you guys can see our wonderful tribute to MS. But Polyvector has reserved the right to that article. So for now we are finishing up putting the shell back to together and then off to Wal-Mart to get some celebratory brownie mix. Stay tuned for some console hardware madness.
Archive for September, 2007Here’s another one of those “real life” trailers for Halo 3. THis one is entitled “Believe.” I am actually on my way to bed. So no real insight for me this time (I suppose there was none on the last trailer I posted as well).
And for those of you just tuning in, you can catch the first trailer titled “Museum.” Ok, I am not much into the whole celebrity dating thing, but this is a BIG one in the world of Mac and Tech Geekdom. Everywhere I turn there is some article about the Kathy Griffin and Steve Wozniak dating rumor. So finally the rumor portion is put to rest as Kathy Griffin goes on Larry King and discusses some controversial thing she said on something-or-other as well as her relationship with Woz. So here’s the video, and I hope you have fun with it. Something I have completely pushed out of my mind is the successor to USB 2.0. I of course remember when USB 2.0 was finishing its rounds as the new main stream. While I don’t particularly have anything to really add comment wise to this future of fast USB, I just thought I would share with those who might not have thought about the next world of peripheral connections. It looks like we have some interesting upgrades to look forward to.

Why are You Emailing this Site About RocketDock?Posted by Skunkie in Journal, tags: Punk Labs, rant, RocketDockYou people seriously need to get a life. What compels you to use Atomac’s contact form for RocketDock stuff? What do you think this site is, free support? In case you didn’t notice this is a blog. Go somewhere else and ask questions. I would say the Punk Labs site is a good place for you to go. There is a bug tracker. If you need support go to a forum, not some blog’s contact page. We don’t go to your blog and ask you support questions about a car we both might own….though maybe we should? Rant ended….or is it? We made it back to Flagstaff and we have a lot of work ahead of us. New projects to start and bugs to fix, what a joy. It was really nice to get away for a bit after going through the hectic Punk Software to Punk Labs change over. But now we are ready to move on and get things done. I noticed I am sounding a bit repetitive. I am going to cut this short before I start rambling about who knows what. I do want to say thanks to Sally and Eric for putting up with us in San Diego, and MegaNice9, it is always a pleasure. Polyvector and I are sitting in his parents’ livingroom with MegaNice9, MasterStillie and of course all our various dogs. We have been playing some PS2 (Mercenaries) and taking turns adding to a collaborative drawing As I was sitting on PolyVector’s MacBook playing around with Last.fm we decided to open up Photobooth (a very fun and time wasting application on the Mac). And instead of sitting here explaing to you what happen I’ll just post up some pics. So we get some freeness from Microsoft thanks to Best Buy. They are spnsoring free Xbox Live Gold memberships for the Halo 3 launch. This will be going on 25-27th of this month. This really makes no difference to PolyVector and me, since all the features of Live we use is available though the Silver membership, but maybe if we had some friends it would convince us to fork out the 50 bucks for Gold. Oh yeah and it has todowith a bunch of Halo 3 special events, but who cares, free stuff!
This is the first in a set of trailers being done by Yahoo! Games. The video itself has aboslutely no game play and is done documentary style. I am currently working on PolyVector’s Dad’s iBook G4 and even with the poor sound and small 12″ screen, the video cought my attention and I can’t wait to see the next. I had fond memories of you, my beloved iMac G5. You were my very first Mac. Oh, the things you taught me despite our brief time together. But now I am afraid your time has gone, and this world is no longer fitting for you. If only your logic board was as strong as your bullet proof plastic exterior. May you rest in peace as you become melded with your CRT cousins of computing pasts. |
