Being the Futurama fan that I am I just had to share this with my faithful readers. I happen to spot this article first on TUAW, but I will be I referring the original source they got this nifty tidbit from.

it seems the co-creator of Futurama David X. Cohen was once upon a time an assembly coder for the Apple II. And what does all this have to do with Futurama? Well easy! Cohen created a game called Zoid. You can check out the article on TV Squad and see if you have the guts to help Cohen out getting Zoid off his 5.25″ floppy!

I just had to share this despite the lack of really insightful journalism here. But hey, that’s not really why you come to Atomac anyways.

Today marks Atomac’s first real mile stone as a blog. When I woke up this morning I did my normal routine of checking email and RSS feeds. And what do I see but the very first review request from a software company. Eltima Software contacted me offering a free license to one of their pay-for products to do a review. Now I know it sounds a bit silly and the whole purpose of the email was to get the word out about their software, but this is where it begins.

I am probably getting too excited but I don’t care.

Now unfortunately I had to decline Eltima’s offer seeing as all their current products are either related to Flash development (which I don’t do) or is for syncing Windows Mobile based phones (which I don’t have) to a Mac.

I hope more oppertunies come, I would love to do software or gadget reviews. Oh and of course free stuff is always a bonus.
