Return of the monthly desktop screenshots. I have been asked to continue my monthly desktop postings awhile ago, but have neglected to get anything up. So here is my return.

Just thought I would let everyone know that the Punk Labs IRC channel is still alive. It is run by a few Punk Labs fans (barlas, The TAHK, and MasterStillie). You can connect using the server irc.blitzed.org on port 6667 and join #punklabs.
Over the past week we have been migrating each of our sites to a new server. I know the last post I mentioned the hardware and that RocketDock.com was already on its way through the mystical journey of DNS transfer. Last night we finished up migrating the few sites we had strangling. Atomac was one of them.
Quick notice to those who we are hosting email for, everything should be exactly the same except for how you access webmail. Instead of accessing the subdomain webmail, you simply add webmail as a directory.
I haven’t had much time to talk about it, but yes we here at Punk Labs have been busy. Due to some unforgivable downtime, yet happily received growth on RocketDock.com, we purchased a new server to take on the responsibilities of hosting RocketDock and hopefully all our other sites.
Not counting the new server we have two servers with RocketDock.com being on its own. Although RocketDock is pretty popular it is ridiculous that the server it is currently on cannot support it with out going down once a day. So we took funds thanks to all our very loyal fans who have donated and bought a new setup. I won’t go into too many details regarding the old server, but the new guy is:
Running CentOS Enterprise
CPU : Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 (4 x 2.4GHZ 8MB Cache 1066)
RAM : 4GB ECC DDR2
Hard Drive : 250GB 7.2k RPM SATAII 16MB Cache
Control Panel : cPanel / WHM
Public Port Speed : 100 Mbs Public
Private Port Speed : 100 Mbs Private
Public Bandwidth : 2000GB Premium Transfer
RocketDock.com has already made the migration over to the new server and the DNS update should (if not already) be propagated. Once we get some good statistics on how the new server is running with just RocketDock.com we will start migrating over all our other sites if the server appears to be able to handle it (and with these specs it should).
Yesterday WordPress 2.6 was released and I just got a chance to update Atomac. Everything seems to be running smoothly. Some neat new features I found are Gravatar default avatar settings, and switching on/off the XML-RPC protocol for remote posting. I am sure there are others in there, but those stood out in my mind.
If anyone find anything out of place please be sure to let me know either via the contact form, comment, or send me a tweet on Twitter.
