Costa Rica Finca La Ponderosa 100% Bourbon

Caffé Americano
It’s amazing how many coffees I have yet to try from different countries. I never would have dreamed how much variety there was in home roasting. The Costa Rica Finca La Ponderosa is easily one of my favorites. Even with the heat, this makes one fantastic caffé americano.
The slight chocolate notes of this coffee take a well deserved back seat to the amazing taste and aroma of granola you’re hit with. And if you’re really paying attention you get slight butter and even apricot. I pretty much kept this at a Full City+. The acidity was balanced and silky body definitely puts this on my “get whenever I can” list. It even stands up in milk. Which is rare for a single origin.
This looks tasty. I want to try this coffee!
I completely forgot about this coffee! I haven’t seen it up this year. Hoping it will make a return. I can remember the taste now that I have reread my post.
I think I need to start posting the coffees we try again, this worked out as a trial journal rather well. And I need a new name too.
