Sweet Maria's Espresso Workshop #11: Tono Alto, Full City Roast
Most of the blends I have tried tend to sit on the darker roast side, Sweet Maria’s Espresso Workshop #11: Tono Alto is meant for light roast, and by that I mean keep it to a City+ if you can take it. I pushed it too far into Full CIty, but I still got an interesting experience out of it.
This blend made an very delicate espresso, sweet, with citrus and a nice light caramel aftertaste. And let me make clear when I say “delicate” I mean think tea delicate. Taking this blend to a Full City was too much. While this leant nicely to the caramel taste it really took away from the nice citrus sweetness this coffee had to offer. If I get this blend again, I’d definitely keep it to a City+. Made a very nice iced americano. Just what the summer needed.
I LOVED IT!! Very Very Good Iced, yummmy!!
Glad you liked the iced latte I made you, Brie. You also tried the Moka Kadir, which is the next blend I’ll write about.
