Getting Ever Closer to the Perfect Capp
by Skunkie

I have been working fairly hard at perfecting milk steaming/frothing. It has been probably the most difficult thing I’ve gotten into since obsessing over coffee. Espresso was hard, but not nearly as frustrating as creating beautiful and tasty milk to go with my ever evolving coffee.
I am actually starting to get proud of my progression. While I love the idea of creating latte art, my end goal really is to make a delicious cappuccino. The difference? A latte has a lot more milk than foam. In a cappuccino, the idea is to have a nice balance of milk and foam, the foam being the most important part. The bubbles need to be so tiny that they suck up the coffee, creating the perfect mix.
I believe I am getting closer to my goal.
The milk looks very nice (woohoo, I sound like I already had got it down ;) LOL :)
The picture is a sparrow knocked down on his face, his legs pointing up to the sky :D
;) hope you have that kind of sense of humour as I do, it’s a lovely cappa! :D
LOL Pawel! Thanks for such a nice comments.
I also looks kind of like a chubby faced bunny with tiny ears. :)
I’ll probably always strive for better milk skills. But this photo (taken by PolyVector, I get kind of stupid when excited) made me really proud of my progress.
If you tilt your head to the right it looks like a tomato with a couple of small leaves coming out from where the stalk once was ;)
It could be quite good fun if you did a work log style video at some point, all close up shots of you working to go from bean to cup. I can’t promise how much fun you’d actually have making, but it would be fun for us anyways! :)
Chilano, I do intend on doing a full video, from bean to cup. I just need to work on my camera shyness. Something like that I think would be more enjoyable for watchers if I actually made an appearance, and even talked. You know, to see who’s doing all the magic. ;)
