Say hello to Marie.
We found her this morning at 3 AM meowing in front of our door. She is very thin, but sweet as can be. Luckily she does have tags. We made a little bed for her and left her some tasty food while we wait for later in the morning to call her owners. You can catch more pictures of her on our Flickr page. We’ll let everyone know how everything goes in the morning. You can catch her story and updates after the break.
7 AM: Tried calling the number on the tag and no one answer, no answering machine to leave message. Will try again later.
8 AM: Once again no answer…I really need some sleep,w e decided not to go to bed so we could call as early as possible to get this little kittie home. I an going to make sure she has some fresh water, shade and head to bed.
2 PM: Nothing…
4:30 PM: Still no answer…we decided we are not gonna call the animal shelter and still give the owners a chance to claim her. Though we might need to find a way for her to be in the house tonight.
6 PM: We tried the owners again on a cell phone and are getting an “All circuits busy” message every time, where as our phone (using Skype) just rings without any message forever. We didn’t want to make her stay out all weekend so we decided to call the Humane Society here and they wouldn’t take her cause they were closing…so we called a second chance center and they wouldn’t take her either…Looks like we are going to try the owners number tonight and then the Humane Society again tomorrow.
9 PM: No answer once again. looks like poor Marie will be going to the Humane Society tomorrow morning.
12:30 PM: After getting decided to give the owners a call…nothing once again. As soon as PolyVector wakes up we’ll be packing her up as comfortably as possible and taking a trip to the Coconino Humane Society.
3 PM: We just got back from dropping Marie off at the Humane Society. Luckily her owners have been looking for her and have even been by the Humane Society to see if she had been found. She is a 13 year old Puged nose Persian. Apparently the number on her tags are out dated. Anywho, her owners have been reached and she should be picked up today. A happy ending for a very sweet kittie.

She is a kitty and super sweet…is it wrong that part of me still wants her to be there when I get home from work?
I can’t help it…. well I guess all we can do is keep trying. I’ll give calling a go when I get home as well.
How do Sam and Pran handle cats?….Princess loves them (in a good way).

I really wish we could keep her, but we already have 3 dogs in an apartment. it just wouldn’t be fair for all the animals. We did give her owners a call once again and still nothing.
