Colombia – Los Chuchos de Tolima

What a surprise the Colombia Tolima turned out to be. My previous encounter with Colombian coffee didn’t turn out to be something I was impressed with for espresso. I don’t think I’ve come across a more comforting coffee so far.

Brazil Daterra Farms – Yellow Bourbon

It’s always hard to come back from an amazing coffee. Most of the time I feel slightly disappointed by the following coffee, which really makes those few you hit that bring back your passion to full throttle all the more amazing. I’m pretty new to coffee roasting and tend to stay within a very tight area of Full City+ to Light Vienna. Being an espresso drinker, these tend to be my favorite roasts. Today was my very first French Roast!

Brazil Moreninha Formosa “Raisin” Coffee

With the amount of coffee I drink you’d think I’d get sick or bored of it pretty quick. Most of the time I can definitely say no, but every once in awhile I do feel a little ho-hum about my coffee. And it never is the quality of shots I pull, the roast, or even [...]
